Altmühltal camp site is located on the winding River Altmühl in Bavaria, a beautiful natural area around Ingolstadt and Regensburg in the eastern part of southern Germany.
You can make lovely canoe trips right from the camp site, there is a small jetty where you can get into your canoe or boat. You can rent canoes and kayaks here or of course bring your own boat for the children. The site itself is a nice place for camping. The natural grounds comprise camping pitches between hedges with plenty of shade from the trees. There is a playground with lovely equipment for the children. The site also has a basic restaurant and camp shop. There is a swimming pool, minigolf, stables and a tennis court in the vicinity of the camp site.

Local Area
Just a short walk away is the village of Kipfenberg with attractive streets, restaurants and shops. The surroundings look very different form a bike or on foot. Bikes can also be rented. If you want to spend a day further away,
you are not far from the wonderful German part of the Danube valley with Baroque towns such as Regensburg and Passau. The Bavarian capital Munich is just an hour away. Nuremburg is north of the camp site.
