Ellwangen an der Jagst camp site is located on the banks of the River Jagst close to the edge of Ellwangen. The first thing you notice in this historic town is the beautiful castle (and museum) that perches proudly high up on a hill.

Ellwangen is located in Baden-Württemberg, about 50 km east of Stuttgart, not far from the Bavarian border. A rural area abounding in water with winding rivers and many lakes where you can swim and surf. Next to the camp site is a public indoor pool with wave machine where the children can have hours of fun in the water.
The camp site is attractive and well run, and offers a playground, a shop and a restaurant.

You can walk or cycle from one village to the next, through the fields and woods in this beautiful area. In this part of southern Germany you will still find the authentic style of the German countryside, as there are few big towns. A perfect area for a relaxing holiday. If you cross over the border into Bavaria, in the direction of Augsburg and Munich, there are plenty of beautiful places to discover in the Danube, Lech and Iser basins!
