    Local Area

With the bonnie shores of Loch Lomond an easy drive away and a vibrant, cosmopolitan city centre on the doorstep, a break in Dumbartonshire promises the best of both urban and rural delights.

Here, the landscape of gentle lowlands gives way to rugged highland peaks, glens and lochs – a paradise for walkers enjoying a holiday in Dumbartonshire, who will certainly appreciate exploring the hugely popular West Highland Way whilst no true rambler could resist the lure of the Campsie Fells.

But perhaps the most exhilarating way to enjoy the area’s awe-inspiring beauty is to take a flight with Loch Lomond Seaplanes – a must for any holiday in Dumbartonshire.

Absolutely amazing...chilling time...great place to explore....very friendly staff.... nothing too much. Went for my wife's 40th birthday with her twin sister and husband now it's going to be our annual chilling out time .... pure quality. I only travelled 1.5 hours yet I felt so far away from home...pure indulgence.

.The location of the chalets are fantastic based on the bank of Loch Long and showing Scotland off at her best and for entertainment during the day there are loads of great forest walks, cycle routes and mountains to explore and places to visit and to complete the end of a perfect day, why not take a relaxing evening dip in the out door hot tub with a wee dram!
