Local Area
Still largely rural, Northamptonshire offers a host of attractions for young and old. The county is noted for its many historic buildings and holidays in Northamptonshire are the perfect opportunity to visit Althorp House, childhood home and now resting place of Princess Diana.
There’s an outstanding collection of art and antiques, including some fine works by El Greco and Van Dyck at Boughton House, while the gardens at Coton Manor are among the finest in England.
A break in Northamptonshire is perfect for nature lovers too. There are a wide variety of country parks and nature reserves to discover, including the Red Kite Centre in Rockingham Forest, home to more than 70 of these magnificent birds of prey.

| The lodge was excellent family accommodation. Having our young granddaughter with us she had plenty of room to crawl around and the site although very close to the main park facilities it was located in a quiet area next to the river. |
