Amidst breathtaking scenery of heather-clad mountains, green fields, river and secluded loch, this 1500 acre family-owned estate provides the perfect location for those seeking either peace and quiet or an activity holiday. You can fish, shoot, walk for miles, tour about or just relax. The climate is particularly kind here, with generally low rain fall and high sunshine hours. The Cataran Trail long distance walk passes through the estate. In the winter months, skiing is popular at Glenshee (1/2 hour drive) In the summer months, why not try hang gliding at Glenshee, with qualified instructors. On the estate and included in your holiday price are fishing for trout on the estate loch, or for trout/salmon on the River Ardle and there are lovely walks throughout the estate. For evening entertainment, there are occasionally dances, ceilidhs and concerts locally and the famous Pitlochry Festival Theatre is only 12 miles away. The Log Cabin - sleep 4/5 plus babyIn a secluded rural setting of a mile along a private unsurfaced estate road from the village these 2 of 4 Norwegian log cabins sit beside a small unfenced stream and have open views south to the surrounding wooded hills. Each provides unpretentious but comfortable accommodation and have a sheltered patio area with furniture. One cabin has 1 double and 1 twin and the other 2 twin bedrooms, bathroom with shower attachment over the bath and an open plan living/dining area leading to a simple kitchen. All electric. Fridge/freezer, microwave, TV. Chair bed available.
